Stoked Stainless products are handcrafted once an order has been placed. Once a deposit has been placed, our skilled tradespeople will get to work. Delivery time is dependent on the current number of tubs we’re constructing. We’ll contact you when your product is ready to be shipped. Contact us to get our current lead times, as these can vary.
We can arrange delivery all over New Zealand and Australia. You can pick up your product from our Wanaka NZ factory or Melbourne AU factory if you’d prefer!
We supply all the information required to set up your new Stoked Stainless product at the time of purchase.
Any firm and level surface can be used to place your new Stoked Stainless product. Concrete, gravel or pavers and wooden decks make great, stable surfaces for placement. We have timber bearers on the underside of the tub, which help evenly distribute the load.
Yes, the electric bath and wood-fired bath have a 20mm BSP male thread (same as a garden hose). The round wood-fired hot tub and electric spa have a 40mm BSP female thread. Irrigation fittings from your local hardware store are ideal to fit on.
Forever! Our tubs don’t leak like traditional cedar hot tubs sometimes can, as the interior is made from high-quality stainless steel.
Open the drain valve located outside the hot tub, and it will be drained in minutes.
Use some dish detergent and a soft brush. Then rinse with a garden hose.
Cleaning is not usually required unless it is exposed to salt spray. The cedar cladding should be oiled once a year. We provide details in our user manuals.
There is a cold tap in the wood-fired hot tub and bath. The electric bath and spa are controlled automatically by the temperature gauge you set to your chosen temperature.
Wood-Fired Products
Yes, there is no heat at all on the exterior of the hot tub. The burner is within the hot tub and submerged under the water. As long as your deck is stable and level, it is a great placement choice for your Stoked Stainless product!
Most woods are okay, such as Pine, Macrocarpa, Oregon and Blue Gum. Avoid hardwoods with very high BTU ratings such as Teatree, Kanuka and Manuka, as they will burn too quickly, meaning it will be less efficient while using more wood to heat your water.
In the wood-fired hot tub, essential oils are okay. The electric spas require a permanent water treatment solution. We provide a recommendation prior to sending your spa.
The wood-fired bath takes 1.5 hours. The round hot tub takes approximately 2 hours to heat. For the second night, you only need to run the burner for about 30 mins. Our hot tubs are well insulated to retain an abundance of heat.
Electric Products
For the round spa, you’ll need a 15amp electrical socket (power point) 2m or closer to the spa (the power cord is 2m long). The power rating is 3400W, and the current rating is 15amp.
For the electric bath, you’ll need a 10amp electrical socket (power point) 2m or closer to the spa (the power cord is 2m long). The power rating is 1850W, and the current rating is 10amp.
The electric spa takes overnight to heat the first time, but it is always hot and ready to use after initial heating.
